First Day of School!

Okay, I know I haven't posted in a while, but we haven't really done anything new and fun in a while :) So, even though Taylor has been in "cool" (school) for a month now, I thought I'd post her super-adorable First Day of School Picture!!
PS Thanks Mollie for the perfect First Day outfit :)
PPS Notice my little 4-week-old Taylor Bug in the portrait on the wall. Now in nursery school.*sniff*sniff*

Deer Park Visit

Taylor made some new best friends at the Deer Park in the Dells last weekend! She absolutely loved having the deer walk with her and eat out of her hand---in fact, the hardest part was trying to teach her that if they went back behind the fence, that means they want to be left alone----not really an easy concept to a toddler :)
So one of the deer really seemed to make an impression on TG and she really loved him. He loved her, too, until the realization that she was out of crackers came clear. After a while, he kind of lagged behind and wasn't walking right next to her anymore and here is the conversation that followed:

TG: "Come on, Der!! (deer)
Deer: stares at TG
TG: Pats her hand on her leg and says,"Come!!"
Deer: stares at TG
TG: "Come on, Der! Peez!"
Deer: starts walking away from TG
TG: "Oh....okay. Bye-bye! Alo!! (i love you!)
Blows him a kiss and finally catches up with her parents.

It was hilarious!!

Painted Toenails!!

Last week I finally got to do something I've been waiting to do since July 19, 2007---the day I found out I was having a little girl----painted her toenails pink!!!! It was a team effort between Josh and I, but she was so fascinated by what I was doing to her that she stood pretty still and just stared at her feet. It took many, many photos to get these because every time I said, "Show me your toes so I can take a picture", she would put her foot out, smile, and proceed to curl her toes under. I figure that you never know if your daughter will be a tomboy when she's older, so now is the time I can paint her pink and she won't care :)

Cousin Sasha!!!!

Finally, Taylor and Sasha got to meet in person again!!! Taylor was very excited each day when I announced "We're going to Grandma's to see Sasha again!". He is so stinkin' adorable and has the world's cutest scrunched-up-nose-super-smiley-twinkle-in-his-eyes look you can ever imagine. Well, actually here's a video clip of said look. Also, note the chorus of "he's freakishly strong!" in the background at the end---too funny :)
We miss the whole Brooklyn family too much already and wish every day that they lived closer.
