So this past Sunday, Josh and I had yet another open house so we needed to be out of the house most of the day. We decided to go hang out at Mom's, and later in the day Wendy showed up, too! So, while Mom and Gary were gone golfing, we all decided to start a campfire, go get some food, and basically all made ourselves at home eating and hanging out by the fire----all while the homeowners were not there :) Eventually they came home, and hopefully didn't mind all of us making use of there awesome house and yard!! These pics are from that day. The first one is Taylor playing one of her favorite games with Grandpa. It's called "Git it!!!", whereby she throws whatever she is holding (in this case it's Pablo from Backyardigans), looks at whoever is playing with her, and yells, "GIT IT!!". When you "git it" and give it to her, she then says, "Got it!!". Somehow, it never gets old........for her.
The second picture is her first experience with chips and dip. Which she loved. A lot. She didn't really eat the chips so much as use them as spoons to get as much dip in her mouth as possible.
The third picture is of her picking up plums from Mom's yard and eating them, which we were all amazed to see that she loved them and ate a LOT of them ! She's a picky eater, so I can now add another fruit that she'll eat. Although, I think part of the liking came from the concept of her being able to pick them off the ground or out of the tree and eating them right then and there.
So all around relaxing day for family and food :) Looking forward to much more family and food in a couple days when Sandy, Nadya, and Sasha make their appearance!!!

Budding Chef....

We've just started having Taylor "help" in the kitchen with little things she can do. The first two pictures are her helping Josh pick basil for our weekly batch of homemade pesto and the second two pics are her helping me make Monkey Munch, also known as Puppy Chow (I was afraid if I didn't change the name she'd feed it all to Tucker :). As you can see, she REALLY enjoyed cleaning the chocolate off of the spatula!!

My Little Hippie Chick :)

Being her crazy, goofy self!! Yes, yes that IS in fact Play-doh between her teeth :-) When did we all get too old to think that running around with a scarf on your head is the funniest thing ever??!

Beach Play!

These pictures are proof of the fickleness of toddlers. A month ago she would have a near-panic attack at even the sight of sand; now, she's building sand castles on a sand bar on the Wisconsin River. Who knew?

Good Times on an Air Mattress!!

Rainy day activity of choice!!! Oh, please try to ignore the crazy whining from the old Siamese cat in the background :)
